The Indonesian mother of two children killed in a car crash that left two others critically injured in a suburb of Jakarta has been charged with causing the deaths.

Jakarta Police chief Jusuf Kalla said in a statement on Friday that Siti Nusa Tariq, 46, was arrested on Friday in the central province of Surabaya after a police team discovered her driver’s license in a vehicle on the roadside.

Kalla said Nusa, who lives in the village of Banda Gera, was suspected of driving while impaired, and authorities have detained a number of her relatives and friends.

Police say Nusa’s family, who are from Surabada, were at the wheel of the car that crashed into the home of the family of the two children, according to the statement.

Nusa is currently in custody and will be charged with homicide and driving while intoxicated, police said.

Kallas statement did not say what charges she may face.
