What is the species?
The mother persiana is a greenish-white moth that has white, silvery wings and a black body.
It’s believed that the moth was named after the Persian mother who is believed in to be the origin of the mother plant.

According, the family is well known in India and Persia, and the mother moth is a very common one.
According to the species name, the moth is called the persian mama and its wings are also called persian (meaning mother).
It has the black body and black wings and the female lays its eggs on the ground.
The moth is considered to be one of the most endangered species in India.
It is believed that about 50 million persians are found in India, mostly in the southern states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka.
According a 2015 study, a new population of the moth in the eastern state of Tamilnadu is estimated to be around 20,000.
The moth is the only one in the genus that feeds on grasses and plants.
The new population is only known to be about one-third of the original population.
Moms of the species are not usually seen, but the moth can be spotted on some flowers and in the soil.
